NEW JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS AGE DIVISION
 Team play for players ages 5-8 using
USTA’s new QuickStart format.

This program is Phase I of the USTA Quickstart League format. It is the latest trend in American tennis. The USTA has developed a new format where young players can “ENTER” tennis on a team, “LEARN” tennis on a team, and “PLAY” tennis on a team with immediate results through the use of age and size appropriate courts and equipment. They are successful and they have fun playing tennis from the very start.
League Play Particulars - 8U division using Quickstart format – 36 ft court
Age requirement – BORN SEPT 2000 – SEPT 2004
Team requirements – minimum of 3 players per team – coed
Match format – 3 lines of singles play – coed – 6 game pro set (no-ad scoring)
Match play – Tuesdays at 4:30pm starting January 6th
Equipment needs – (Providers Wilson, Gamma, OnCourt-OffCourt)
Portable net: 16-18ft long and 2ft 9in high
Low compression Red balls for match play
REGISTRATION FOR THIS AGE DIVISION – NOVEMBER 3rd – NOVEMBER 30th
The cost for this program is $25. This includes the USTA Atlanta JTT league fee and NEW THIS SEASON - a Nike dri-fit TEAM SHIRT. Players will need to acquire a USTA junior membership in order to participate. We are very excited to offer this new USTA age division and league play format.

This will change youth tennis in America. Our hope is that this will build a firm foundation for the USTA junior program and allow young children to start PLAYING tennis and continue in the sport as they get older.
