Dear Jr. Team Tennis Captain,

Welcome to the 2010 Winter season of USTA Jr. Team Tennis.

Please read the following email for specific instructions and important information regarding your responsibilities as captain.  Additional information about A.T.A.K and Atlanta JTT can be found on our website www.ATAKthenet.com

1. Make sure that your USTA contact information is correct.  Please go to www.usta.com.  Click on Membership and Update My Information.  You will need your USTA # and password to confirm/update your member information.  This is very important for communication between coordinators and captains. 
2. Every team is required to submit a team profile sheet.   A copy is attached and can be found on our website under Captain’s Corner.   This is to be submitted BEFORE THE ROSTER DEADLINE (November 10th).  Be accurate and complete when filling out the profile sheet.  This information is used to place your team at the appropriate skill level.  Information regarding State rankings for tournament players is extremely important.  Incomplete or inaccurate information can result in player disqualification.  If a profile sheet is not submitted, your team will be placed at the Advanced Level.
3. Print out a copy of the 2010 League Rules and Policies for ATAK/USTA Jr. Team Tennis.  A copy is attached and can also be found on our website.  It is your responsibilities to know these rules and abide by them.  You are required to have a copy of these rules on hand for every match. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF SEVERAL CHANGES IN THE RULES. #3. Ability Level,  #5. Teams/Playing Twice, #8. Playoff Eligibility and #32. State Championship Advancement.
4. You will receive an email or phone call from your Overall coordinator before the season starts.  She will be your point of contact for the season.  Please check the Captain’s Corner section of our website first to find information, and then contact your coordinator, if you need further assistance.  Attached is a contact list of the ATAK overall coordinators.  Realize that these are volunteers.  They will respond in a timely manner.  Please be patient and treat them with respect.  
5. A captain’s meeting will be held on November 15th at 3:00pm at the Racquet Club of the South.  This meeting is a must.  We strongly encourage every team to have a representative attend.  We will be discussing all the rule changes for this year and discussing changes that will be coming for future seasons.  We will also be available to answer any questions you may have about TennisLink. 
6. The Winter schedule will be posted the first week in December.  You will get an email when schedules are ready for viewing.  Please check your season schedule for any irregularities, and notify your Overall coordinator if you have any questions.
